Shredder machine blaze kindles box truck fire in St. Lucie Co.

Saint Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) crews responded to a box truck fire ignited by a shredder machine on Route 1 near 24th Street on Friday.

According to SLCFD, firefighters encountered heavy smoke, piles of paper scraps and a shredder engulfed in flames located in the truck's cargo area.

The fire was quickly extinguished with no injuries or damage to nearby structures, per SLCFD's Facebook post.
