Moretto to debut new granulator at Fakuma | Sustainable Plastics

Oct 14, 2024

GR 6050 HYPER CUT

Italy-based Moretto will unveil the GR 6050 HYPER CUT, a starve-feeding granulator equipped with 15 movable blades. Designed to process waste materials like sprues and blowed parts, the granulator features a 160-degree grid that promises increased productivity and reduced energy consumption, in line with the key themes of this year’s Fakuma.

Also on display will be the Original Thermal eXchanger (OTX) hopper, designed to improve drying efficiency. Alongside it will be the fully electric X COMB dryer, a compact and energy-efficient system ideal for high-performance operations. Also featured is the innovative MOISTURE METER analyser, which enables real-time measurement of residual moisture in plastic granules, eliminating the need for offline testing and improving overall process efficiency.

To address the diverse blending needs of plastics processors, Moretto will present the updated DGM GRAVIX gravimetric dosing unit. This system has undergone digital enhancements and now includes the DGM GRAVIX 20, a new micro-dosing model that meets the growing demand for precision in plastics production.

Another highlight is DOLPHIN, Moretto’s automated material-machine allocation system designed to streamline material handling in plastics conveying plants. Additionally, the company will showcase SILCONTROL, a system engineered to manage the loading of plastic granules into storage silos, further enhancing production automation

All of these systems can seamlessly integrate with MOWIS, Moretto’s in-house developed supervision and management platform. Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to test a demo version of MOWIS, exploring its features that connect machines, processes, departments, and entire factories for enhanced productivity.
