A hay baling machine caught fire on Thursday evening, resulting in a substantial amount of smoke.

The incident occurred shortly after 6pm on a field between Pétange and Bascharage, as confirmed by the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) through a statement on their official Facebook page.

Thanks to the swift response of the fire brigade, the flames were quickly brought under control. No one was injured in the incident.

The CGDIS also reported a traffic accident that occurred in Garnich shortly before 10.30pm. A motorcyclist fell in Rue de Holzem. Besides the first responder (Samu), the rescue services from Mamer, Dippach, and Kahler were also at the scene.
